Dancing Salsa is fun, friendly and great exercise! Although known as a Cuban dance, Salsa has its roots more generally in african-carribean music and latin influences and in the UK salsa has a huge following of "salsa aficionados" as well as casual dancers, competition dancers and even celebrity dancers!
Our classes are designed to be fun and friendly and are a great way to keep fit. Within a few minutes of your first class you will be stepping a mambo and beginning to dance salsa; this is usually accompanied by a huge grin. Salsa has that effect!
You may have seen celebrities dance salsa on "Strictly Come Dancing", if so, then you will have seen that salsa is the dance that provides the most fun and enjoyment to the contestants. Salsa is a celebration of life and when we get your hips swaying and your feet moving, you will understand exactly why salsa is such a fantastic way to dance! More>>
I have been dancing salsa for over 10 years, starting in the Burro Bar in Liverpool, then graduated to Chilli's (now called Woodies). Some fantastic teachers, inluding Karen (Salsa Roja) Jose (Latin Art Online), Freddy (All Things Latin) and Paris have all been a part of my salsa education. I will always continue to learn new moves and shines, in salsa there is always something new to learn. I have danced at many events and socials in the UK and I have danced Salsa in Paris and New York; salsa is an international language and a passport to social nights all over the world!
I started teaching salsa about 6 years ago with Karen of The Latin Experience and I have taught classes in Liverpool, the Wirral, Manchester and Cheshire. When I am not teaching salsa, I am a science teacher and a mum of 3; I like to think that both activities are hugely helpful when it comes to running classes!
I teach Cuban and LA styles as well as La Rueda (a group dance that started as a cuban party game). We concentrate on Cuban-style, mainly because it allows our students to attend the regular salsa social events that happen all over the UK and dance confidently at these events, even within the first few weeks of learning salsa.
As well as teaching beginners, I also have intermediate and improver classes and we think you will surprise yourself at how quickly you can master some really fancy moves that are actually easy to learn but look GREAT on the dancefloor! More>>

Its all very simple really. Ring me or simply turn up at one of our classes. Ask for Gill or my hubby, Tony (we met dancing in Manchester). You will learn 3-4 basic steps in your first lesson. You can then take those steps home with you and you can even practice whilst doing the housework, washing the dishes or doing DIY! All of salsa is built from these basic steps and we will help you to progress at a pace that suits you. More>>
